Why visit it
It is interesting for the relationship between architecture, garden and sea landscape. Even when not open inside, it enriches the reading of the seafront and the town's tourist history.
Description
Villa Agnelli is one of the most recognisable features of Levanto's coastal landscape. Local sources connect its construction with the tourist development between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries; the Levanto Music Festival historical route recalls Senator Agnelli building the villa and garden in 1901, while the FAI listing places it at Via Giuseppe Garibaldi 111 and highlights the garden.

The villa belongs to the period of elegant residences and Liberty-style villas that accompanied the arrival of early travellers in Levanto. It helps explain the transition from a maritime and commercial village to a seaside resort.
